Businesses woo social media sites

Now that everyone’s heard about those raging little parties called MySpace and YouTube, marketers and execs are busy trying to get their names on the guest lists. Canada’s newspaper of record, The Globe and Mail, has an interesting story this week about how businesses need “worthy on-line content” to ensure that they’re not turned away at the door, just when the action is heating up.

We couldn’t agree more. Absolutely everyone is in the content business today. Bring soggy chips and cheap wine in a box to the shindig and you’ll be stuck in the corner all night. But develop savvy, surprising, smart, valuable, content that fits your brand and watch the fun begin.

Yes, i agree, these days many social community portals comes into www , but i don’t think all of them stand on the top. Mostly myspace.com and youtube got the positions well.
