Connected People Create Solutions

Reach Group Podcast1.jpgThe Connected Generation Podcast: Connected People Create Solutions, Episode 77

In the third episode of the Connected Brands series, Lisa discusses how connected staff will save your organization time and money.

Once people are connected, they quickly see the sluggish, broken pieces of their work process and their organization as a whole. These challenges, however, soon become opportunities to eliminate inefficiency, waste, under-performing products, and weak ideas. It’s a process that saves time, money and major frustration.

Connected people will create exponential improvements and more elegant, streamlined solutions – from R&D to HR to marketing and sales. The new market infuses every industry and every part of the supply chain. The new consumer playground offers so many innovative solutions that it becomes easier to let go of what isn’t working, leaving more time and headspace to build new possibilities. Collaboration rules and perfection is irrelevant.

When teams are connected, they’re also more engaged. Connected people in a disconnected company will eventually leave. They’ll tire of seeing their ideas shot down, their projects branded as rebellious, and their initiative punished in favor of the status quo. Fear overcomes innovation and you will have a difficult time attracting new talent. In the bigger picture, customers and clients will lose respect for the brand as it slips further outside the conversation. If the brand community can’t interact with the company and they feel that their ideas, feedback and opinions are ignored, they’ll switch to a brand that’s willing to open up share the dialogue.
