interview with Cassie
Known for
Having an endless supply of “that would only happen to you” stories that usually start with a random experience or a conversation with a total stranger.
Random skill
Writing customized Mad-Libs. I love Mad-Libs so much that I’ve resorted to writing my own for occasions ranging from birthdays to Spanish grammar lessons. I even gave the toast at my best friend’s wedding in the form of a mad-lib. You know you’ve gone too far when you begin a speech with, “Good evening ladies and meatballs!”
Quirk
I am a game freak. From Cranium to capture the flag, telephone pictionary to treasure hunts, I’m always down for fun in the form of a competition or challenge. For my 21st birthday, my roommates (who know my sick obsession) threw me a surprise party in the form of a giant card tournament. I couldn’t have asked for a better gift!
Superpower
Adaptation. I can adapt very easily to new people, places and environments. I think being naturally inquisitive and open to new experiences make it easy to learn and function in a variety of settings.
Passion
Pushing myself. I love exploring my personal limits and redefining my perception of possibility.
Achilles heel
Being without certain technologies. My Pearl, MacBook and iPod are as essential as clothing—leaving the house without one of them is like walking out the door topless.
Aspiration for next year
Running a full marathon (or the equivalent physical challenge) and learning to speak French.
Belief
Everything’s more fun when it’s turned into a game.
People you admire
My incredible mother and freakishly talented friends.
